I’ve got a large stash of old hardware that we’ve pulled off various jobsites. There’s a box in the back of my car, one in my office and  a box in my hall closet. Sheesh! As the holidays approach, all that cool hardware got me to thinking – I’d love to recycle this stuff into a DIY gift wrap project. The beat up stuff is beautiful when you pair it with something glamorous, kind of “industrial chic”.

I poked through my collection and came up with really old hinges, keys, keyholes, and lots of bits and pieces, nuts and washers. It makes me happy to see these old pieces – some from the late 1800’s – enjoying their own Renaissance in my gift wrap. Read Post…
