Garages: Conversion Excursions

When you’re searching for square footage, the options within your home might be limited. If you don’t have the space or the budget to add on to your home and moving isn’t something you’d consider, converting your garage might solve some serious problems. Here are a few ideas to consider:

Converted Garage

If you don’t drive, live in a warm climate or have covered parking available to you somewhere else, your garage might be an untapped resource. Welcome to February! 2015’s Blog Cabin is progressing at full steam ahead and, I have to tell you, this house is going to blow you away. You voters did an excellent job choosing the big picture items, like the home’s exterior color, in the first round. And now we’re nearing the end of round two: The Master Suite.

Romantic Bedroom

There are many important decisions to be made regarding this relaxing retreat, but the one that’s captured my imagination lately? The hanging pendant lights over each bedside table. I’m excited to see whether you favor the rustic metal shades or the glowing glass option – but I’m also intrigued by the general concept in general. Read Post…

I’m still combing through all of my photos and notes from this year’s Kitchen and Bath Industry Show and I literally can’t wait to share my findings with you – so here goes:

First things first, I’ll start with the folks at Richelieu, who are bringing fantastic facings to a whole new level. Did you know that the gorgeous, textured stone wall above is actually a very light, manmade stone veneer? If you’ve got some surfaces in your home that need sprucing, take a look at all of the options available to you. It’s a whole new world. Read Post…
