I thought a lot about who they are as a family as I chose the elements and I had a blast putting them all together into one cohesive look.

While I love traditional trimmings, it can be fun to push the boundaries and tell a personalized story with your decorations. If you love to cook or to eat, why not share that love as your celebrate the holidays? Food can be a big part of the season, so show it off with silverware ornaments or a chef’s hat on your tree. Celebrating your favorite activities or your occupation is a great way to celebrate the year you’ve had and the ways you’ve enjoyed spending your time.
Construct Some Cheer

If you’re more into construction, architecture and all things rustic, there are many ways you can build that into your design plan this year. This fabulous wreath simply and instantly brings a smile to my face. In addition to door décor, gift-wrap can be a great place to send a signature message. Last year, I decided to wrap my gifts using recycled hardware and blueprints I had leftover from the jobsite. No one had to guess which gifts were from me!

If the arts are your thing, you can celebrate them, too!
