I have been in the kitchen and bath industry for over twenty four years and have been in thousands of homes, and in my experience the question is more of personal taste. I don't believe there is a wrong decision….The key to either is the crisp lines that it creates. So don't be in a rush to install, but take your time when painting or staining. The contrast between the molding and floor or molding and base board will be fantastic, but only if there are no oops in the painting and staining…..
