Ahoy Mate! Nautical Bath Redo

This vanity looks a little sad now, but I have plans for it! It’s going to be reworked into a vessel worthy of the nautical-inspired space I’m working on for a cute bachelor client.

Can you picture it navy blue? Check back!

    Hi Chris!

    Cleaning is the pits!

We went with paints that will wipe down with ease, on the vanity and the walls. I think it makes all the difference. Who wants to spend their life cleaning?

Thanks for commenting! When you redid your navy blue, what color did you follow it with?

I luv dark purple,I think it goes well with Navy Blue, even the lighter shades of purple. We had a 1920s 2 story house we painted the main color with lite blue, the trim dark blue and accent was purple. The purple was used on the eve sofit, a 1' trim next to that was next to it. On the bottem was a3' board the rounded over sill plate like board, and the middle corse of blocks, all the way around. It was tirersom but fun

We bought a 1954 ranch with a finished basment. The basement has no egress so it can't count as living space, that leaves the main floor 2 beds seperated by a 6×8 bath,1 bed 11×12, the other 11X10,each has a closet 36"x72.Do to my disabillity,I can no longer do any of the work,we are trying to decide, to rework the master with it's on bath;using the closet and some of the old bath, then push the old bath into the other closet. The idea we like the best is an addition on the back of the house, ether just adding to the master bed or should we go full and add on the to both beds and gathering room going out to the back yard.I've drawn up ideas, but cost and comitment are scary! I thought of buying a garage kit for 8k,the escvating may be 10k. We could build it as the add on and finish the inside as we can. Our bed will 1st to finish, the garage door we will use to replace the one on our garage. The door opening would be the matting wall already cut. What do u think? What is your Idea? Am I crazy? thank you Barry
